Brand spankin' new woodcut from Isaiah Gordon and myself - he cuts, I paint. 'Kriegsmarine Mermaid' is one bad salty sea bitch, and she's armed with her UBoat and her harpoon, for when it has to get up close and personal (and quite messy). She measures around 2ft x 2ft and is hand cut, sanded and painted.

Fingers Duke, the kick ass screen printers behind my t-shirts, have screened two new prints for me to release as a limited edition, super rare, let's fight over it like we are black friday Walmart patrons. First is a black and white print celebrating the 10 year anniversary of my book 'industriacide'. Not my first published book, that one came out when I was 15, but the first professional graphic novel I graced the world with, courtesy of Rorschach Ent. This print feartures Ernie and Schmaltz, two of the main characters, and is limited to 30 editions. Next is the special 6 color screened 'A Good Looking Planet', which Duke just released as a t-shirt at the Jet City Comic Show this past Nov. Limited to 12!!!! You can buy them in the store:

To kick off the immense amount of new artwork I will be slamming the netwaves with, we start with the brand new woodcuts from myself and Isaiah Gordon (cutter). He cuts, I paint, they rock! These are just the first few in a new line of art that allows me to express my artistic energy with the use of sawblades and powertools. These bad boys are for sale in the STORE section, and are 1 OF A KIND! There's no ART reproductions of them. The occasional shirt or pin might grace us, but there's no paper, wood, metal, or canvas prints of these. Once they are gone, there gone:) Oh, and if you think these are cool...wait until Feb at the CHAMPS show in Vegas to see what we are debuting!
1000 limited prints gone, but metal, wood and canvas available til Sun!
It's not quite the funeral of the year, but after 2 short years on this planet, the 1000 limited edition prints for the sexy Red Baroness are GONE! That's right, there's no more, and after Dec 7th (Anniversary of Pearl Harbor) she will be retired forever. So for the next few days you can get your METAL, WOOD, or CANVAS prints at http://www.conferoart.com/red-baroness/ . And if you use the coupon code: DEC2014 you'll get 20% off your order of her, or any of the other prints. After Sunday though, ol' Red will be gone forever! Thanks so much to all who supported her over the 2 years--I've never seen a piece of my art sell as fast, although the other tank girls are not far behind. Have a great holiday season!!

Just in time for Christmas, it's the most ambitious collaboration yet from Sean Dietrich and Vincent Gordon. 'FEAR AND LOATHING IN MANHATTAN' is the 6th in the series commemorating the late Hunter S. Thompson's style of Gonzo Journalism, as well as paying homage to Ralph Steadman's insane skills with the brush, pen and ink. This private commission, not only combines a mega wish list of the client's favorites things, but also allowed Vincent and Sean to add their own spin to the Manhattan experience. The list of elements in this painting is enormous! The original measures 24" x 96", and is completely hand painted with acrylic and india ink. Stop on by the store and order up yours today--hell, own the whole series which includes Manhattan, Miami, San Francisco, Austin, Winter Wonderland, and Denver so far. All prints are limited to 1000 copies.
Ok, Fall is here and that means the grueling summer tour schedule is finally over, and I get to spend quality time with my family, and working on new projects! I just want to thank everyone who came out this summer to the shows to support my art, even if you didn't even know I was there. One of the greatest compliments I've ever been paid was when a few kids walked by my booth at Rock on the Range and said, "Wow, this art looks really out of place here!". And they were right. Most of the time at a rock show you don't expect to see art, just shirt vendors and people selling bracelets, plugs, pipes, earrings, confederate flags and other useless shit, but as long as I'm on the road, I'll continue to bring the art and help to create an experience that expands further than the show itself and the laughs you'll get at the 'I Love Vagina' booth.
So what's next? Well, it's a full plate, and I'm still deciding what comes first. I'm booked about 9 months out on commissoins right now (not a bad problem), and I've got several books in the works including the business book for artists that is still stewing. I'll know in the following months what is going to release first, and will update accordingly. Don't worry if I go dark for awhile...I promise it'll be worth it. For more up to date entries and goings on please check my facebook page at www.facebook.com/seandietrich. Cheers and have a great holiday season!!!!
Wow!!! I've actually been back from my Spring 2014 tour for over a week now, but have had to jump right into commissions, ordering and shipping out prints etc., and of course to giving my family time to remember just who the hell I am after being on the road for 2 months solid. It was an amazing experience, though, with sales alone topping most of what I did my entire tour last year, a successful run with 3 new festivals that turned out to be my new favorties, and of course meeting tens of thousands of rad people. I'm working on my summer/fall tour dates right now--which also looks incredible so far, and I'll be moving up to Washington state in about 3 weeks, so look out NW, here I (and my family) come!
Thanks so much for everyone that came out and supported me while I was on the road. One of the greatest testimonials I heard was a group of people walking by the booth, looking in, and then hearing one of them say 'Wow, that seems really out of place here at the festival", because they didn't expect anything but tshirt and sunglass vendors, not kick ass art!! I look forward to seeing you again on my summer/fall tour where I will, again, be hitting up the East Coast, and I will now get my ass back to the drawing board so I can work up some killer new art, and put together my list of announcements of things to come. Cheers!
I am very pleased to release (finally!!) the brand new paintings that I've been working on for most of the winter. These four pieces were commissioned by Sasquatch Glass (www.sasquatchglass.com), and feature 4 television shows that are near and dear to the owner. Each painting also features some of the beautiful glass that they sell--amazing hand crafted pieces from bongs to barware. Each piece of art was thoroughly researched in front of my tv, and suprisingly enough, the tv survived, as I was very close to throwing it out of the window. But at least they were amazing shows, and I hope I captured their essence and offered up a unique way of looking at them:)
BREAKING BAD - Heisenberg and his RV doing a little cooking under the Mt. Rushmore of Breaking Bad Villians. I hadn't watched most of the series at the point of being commissioned for this, so I sat and marathoned it over 2 weeks.
CHEERS - NORRMMM!! They're all waiting here at Cheers, and now you can have your fine whiskey in a fine piece from Sasquatch Glass. So let Sammy serve you, grab some wisdom from Cliff and Norm, and let Dr. Crane analyze your twisted head. You. Have. Arrived.
MAD MEN - Don Draper and one of his many women, lounging in the offices of Sasquatch Glass, enjoying some whiskey out of one of the custom pieces available at www.sasquatchglass.com. Drink in style!!
TWILIGHT ZONE - "Submitted for your approval"...a painting featuring Sasquatch Glass that will take you into the fifth dimension. See if you can name all of the episodes that are reflected in the glass!
