'Fear and Loathing Across America' - The Gonzo art of Sean Dietrich and Vincent Gordon opens Dec. 6, 2013 in Denver!!!
Art Showcase Dec 6th- Feb 28th
GRAND OPENING Friday, Dec 6th 7p-2a
With additional receptions Jan 3rd & Feb 7th
Sean Dietrich and Vincent Gordon are up to their whiskey soaked ways again! This time the creative path of destruction, forged by their Panzer that runs of off Liquitex and Jameson, brings them back to the Mile High! Denver, which was front row to the birth of the hellfire and beautiful madness that was, and always will be, GONZO, will play host to the brand new collaborative showcase 'FEAR AND LOATHING ACROSS AMERICA'. Debuting the latest in their maniacal series that pays loving, although twisted, tribute to the cities that have welcomed Dietrich and Gordon on their multiple U.S. Live Art Tours, the night will bring you Gonzo representations of Miami and Las Vegas at the CHAMPS Trade Show, before whisking you away to a winter wonderland full of a cheer spreading Hunter, working the reigns of Santa's sleigh amidst a full on intoxicated snowman fiasco.
HoodLab Colorado will be hosting the night, along with fellow enablers The Infusion Project, Grassroots California, Pabst Blue Ribbon, K-sass Glass,The Denver Connection, Art Plus Wood, Award Winning Sasquatch Glass, Mary Jane Entertainment, and many more.
The 'Double on the Rocks Artistic Mercenaries', will be debuting new collaborative works, solo paintings, and hats courtesy of Grass Roots California, along with other art inspired by the Great Gonzo. Live art auctions, music, drinks, dancing and creative chaos throughout the evening will accompany.
This weekend I'll be in the Artist Alley booth 1603 at the 5th anniversary Long Beach Comic and Horror Con!!! I'll have all my new best and brightest prints, brand new Red Baroness T-shirts, and original paintings. I'll also be doing twisted sketches of anything your heart desires, so get those minds crankin' on some ideas, or put mine to the test! I'll see you there!
If you are in Tacoma, WA on Nov 2nd at the Jet City Comic Show, you'll be getting an official program guide with artwork by me! Thanks so much to James Taylor for having me do the artwork, it was a pleasure:) Prints of the artwork etc. will be available soon! For info on attending the show go to www.jetcitycomicshow.com.
If you've seen the wood block, metal or canvas prints I offer at the club and festival events, then you know they are of the most amazing quality and vibrancy out there thanks to the folks over at Spirit Printing Services. They've now gone one huge step further and created Art Plus Wood.com. This will be the full service site handling everything from the website to the buying to the shipping. This clean, well thought out site, lets you pick, with ease, which artist, piece of art, medium, and size you want and then it's produced and shipped without worry. If you know me, you know I suck major ass at shipping anything out on time, so it's refreshing to let someone with a track record of on time, amazing production dating back to WWII to be jumping in to take over this aspect of my business. So head on over to www.artpluswood.com and check out all the amazing things they have to offer. I'm going to be adding more of my artwork etc. to the page over the following weeks, and there's some incredible features including interviews, videos, limited 'vintage editions' of previous artwork to come. Cheers!

"Shit man, why didn't I think of giving art for xmas!" (Said while looking at bite marks in re-gifted fruit cake)
Weather just a sketch or a full sized painting that you use to cover an entire wall in your house, Sean can accommodate almost any need. And nothing says "You just gave the coolest present" than a piece of original art. Prints are fine, but to commission something that embodies a personal idea, or commemorates something iconic can't be beat. From the simplest ideas like Mickey Rourke in carbonite, to complex constructions, like a pin up girl painting representing the idea of how hard it was to drop the first two Atomic bombs on Japan, nothing is too crazy. The prices below are for a standard size and medium. For super complex pieces, or mural sized art please email me for a quote.
To order, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll go from there. Commissions can take from a few days to up to a month to complete, so please get your orders in now if you want to gift it for xmas.

THE PROCESS: When you decide to take the plunge and go for an original commission, here's how it works:

--You will compose an email letting Sean know of your idea, and if possible reference photos for any items in the painting that you want.
--You will receive a sketch within the week for you to review and let Sean know if it's pure genius, or what changes you would like to make
--Once happy with the sketch, Sean will commit the piece to canvas, or whatever surface was agreed upon and then email you pics of the completed piece
--After it's finished and you are happy with the end result, you will pay the last half of the money owed
--Your painting is shipped
--You jump for joy!
I am pleased to announce the release the first in a series of brand new WWI and WWII pin up girls. 'Hastings' Mermaids' is finally finished and available to ORDER. Many of you have seen the progress on this bad boy as I've toured it across the U.S. at many festivals, nightclubs and comic cons, starting Feb 23rd of this year. Over 100 hours of work was put into this 48" x 108" triptych. (That's over 9ft long!) I'm super excited to release this labor of love, and for it to be the beginning of a new series of pin ups...it's been way too long. The piece will ship as a three piece set no matter what size you order, as one image on an 11" x 17" does not justify the size and scope of this painting. Canvas, metal and wood blocks will be available in the next week or so--keep checking back for updates. Cheers, and enjoy!!!!
I'll be attending the Las Vegas Comic Expo this Sept 28-29th at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. I'll have an exact booth number shortly, and will also be live painting over by the Art Auction room as well. And of course i'll have prints, original art and sketches for sale. See you there!!!

Vincent is a dumpster baby born of a mentally challenged woman and a pill popping orderly. Besides this and the fact that he's physically deformed with 4 foot long arms and 1 foot long legs, he's the best bar piano player/TV commercial jingle singer out there. After 25 years of playing piano at the same bar her leaves for home on what he thinks is a typical night. Shots ring out--that land Vincent in the hospital--and so does the realization that he's never had his own audience to hear his songs--the bar he plays at hides him behind a curtain because of his deformities. His only comfort lies within the whiskey bottle and conversations with a beautiful waitress who gives him the shoulder to lean on. With the help of the detective that found him in the trash so many years ago, he sets out to fake his own death in order to achieve success.
When a 500 pound girl's daydreams of being thin turn obsessive, she uses real life atrocities against over confident business men for fuel; imagining herself as a thin, attractive, coke addicted call girl who picks up those same people and murders them in their beds.
A short but sweet tale of airplanes, alcoholism and afterlife. Dietrich takes us on a surreal trip through WWII pilot Otto’s booze-soaked hell; a hell inhabited by twisted physiognomies and lost souls desperate to share their own tragedies.
Once again, I've been busy on the road, traveling around the U.S. to spread the good word of the 'Art'. This summer has been a great mix of new cities, new art, new people and some new directions taken. Right now I'm currently getting ready for the Salt Lake City Comic Con this coming weekend (Sept 5-7th), and then it's off to Mountain View, CA to finish up the last few Uproar Tour Dates with Alice in Chains and Jane's Addiction headlining. I'll post more on the specific dates later today, as well as what I have going on at the Salt Lake City Con. I've had a great time getting back on the road since I was sick in May. For those who don't know, I was sick and out of commission for about 6 weeks starting at the beginning of May, and ending with a surgery and full recovery. I'm now back in full force, so don't think your artwork is going to skyrocket in value, because I ain't going anywhere anytime soon:P For now, here's the latest in the 'Fear and Loathing' series entitled 'I Got the Fear! (and Loathing)! Now I'm focusing my attention to the latest round of pin up girls--you can check out some sketches below for the new series. More updates to come. Cheers!
Here's some of the sketches for the new pin up series including a WWI observation balloon and a B-24 Liberator!
