'The Fruits of Our Labor' kid's book has a release party!

We are all excited to be finally finished with the artwork for 'The Fruits of Our Labor', and now it's off to layouts and the printer. The Colosseum Fine Arts Gallery in La Jolla will be hosting an official release party Friday, July 29th, to kick off the birth of this book in it's printed form, and to bid farewell to artist Sean Dietrich and writer Rachel Dietrich as they head out (2 days later) on their Live Art and Promotional Tour for the book.  A few things to remember...

PARTY DATE: Friday July 29th, 2011 (Times, activities, etc. will be announced in the next few weeks)

DONATE: You can donate to the cause and help pay for the tour/book HERE.  Any donation over $20 will receive some combination of prizes (books, prints etc.) to show our appreciation!

BUT WHAT IF I WANT TO PRE-ORDER THE BOOK? - We'll know the pricing on the book soon and will have a link to the order page!  We'll be giving away some special prints with all pre-orders of the book.

Book is finished, 37 new prints and more!

What a week!  So Sunday was the official day I finished painting all the interior pages of 'The Fruits of Our Labor' kid's book.  The book is about a day away from layouts and then it's off to the printer.  I'm excited to see it finished and even more excited to start my tour around the country to meet everyone and show it off.  So, a few things:

--37 NEW PRINTS are available in the store!  You can buy 3 new art prints 'The Russian', 'The Birth of Flight pt. 1", "Tom Thumb", and as well, I've released a print for each page in 'The Fruits of Our Labor', so pick up some prints and collect a few of your favorite characters.  

--TOMORROW NIGHT THE SWITCHFOOT charity auction is being held at a private residence in La Jolla Farms. I'll be live painting at this swanky event and donating a piece of art to the cause.  You can find more info HERE - tix are $100. 

--NEW TOUR DATES have been added...see you in a town near you soon!

--DONATE TO HELP FUND THE TOUR AND BOOK! The kickstarter campaign is still kicking HERE for another 7 days.  After that we will run special donations on this site to raise money to keep me on the road and fund the book's publishing.

Boys and Girls Club painting demo today!

Just wanted to thank the Boys and Girls Club of Linda Vista, CA and RAW Natural Born Artists for allowing me to be a part of the event today.  I got to demo some live painting and teach some painting techniques to some amazing kids! --there's definitely some competition in the art world budding at this center.  I'll post a pic of the group when I get a chance.

New Interview and more!

Welcome back!  The press is starting to roll in as we continue forward with the planning for the 2011 U.S. Live Art Tour and the release of 'The Fruits of Our Labor'!  Got a nice featured interview here at author Robert Graham's site.  

Also, working on the official tour flyer right now...just picking out what juicy artwork to grace the page.  More tour dates are being worked out as I have finally got the timeline down.  By tomorrow I should know about dates in Detroit, Portland, Austin and more!  

LIVE ART DATES:  If you are in L.A. this weekend, I'll be up at the Dragonfly on Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood on Sat for a killer rock show.  I'm also going to be up at the Cat Club (Sunset Blvd) on Sunday for Happen' Harry's Hell Hole featuring some killer music, art and more!  Both shows will also feature artist Kelcey Fisher who will not only be displaying art, but will officially be taking over my shows in San Diego while I'm on tour.
